Illinois Symphony Orchestra: The Orchestra Moves! Concert for Kids

The Orchestra Moves! Concert for Kids with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra

Come to the Illinois Symphony Orchestra’s Concert for Kids, The Orchestra Moves!  Students will be introduced to the ways in which music moves and moves the listener. The concert showcases musical movement through rhythm, melodic development, dynamics, and orchestration. Students will enjoy the sounds of the orchestra while performing and moving with the music. Contact the ISO office for information on the Link Up Aspect of this program.  Some of the works to be featured include:

“Fifth Symphony 1st Movement” by Beethoven
“Can Can” by Jacques Offenbach
“Blue Danube Waltz” by Strauss
“Nocturne” by Mendelssohn
“Overture to The Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart
“Cidade Maravilhosa” by André Filho

 

$5 / ticket -- every 18th ticket free.  Tickets can be ordered by calling the BCPA Ticket Office at 309-434-2777.

To attend this program and participate in the Link Up aspect, you must order tickets as well as register for the Link Up Program.  You may order tickets to this concert without participating in the Link Up Program.  IF YOU HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED YOUR CLASS FOR THE LINK UP PROGRAM, YOU MUST ALSO ORDER TICKETS TO THIS CONCERT THROUGH THE BCPA TICKET OFFICE.
